Every memory has a story. This is ours.
Some of the most meaningful relationships in our lives are with those who never need words to tell us they love us.
For our family, that love came with four paws, wagging tails, familiar faces, and years of memories we wish we could experience just one more time.
Keepsake Beam was born from those memories, from the love we carry, and from the realization that sometimes a photograph is all we have left to hold on to.
The ones who left paw prints on our hearts.
Cujo was my brindle dog, and he was so much more than a pet. He was family.

Cujo
He lived for 14 years, growing up right alongside my youngest child. They were only three months apart in age. When I look back at those years, I don't just remember a dog. I remember an entire chapter of our family's life.
We lost Cujo nine years ago, but the memories of him never left us.
Then there was Jewel, my wife's beloved Chihuahua. Jewel was part of our family for 17 years. Seventeen years of companionship, routines, unconditional love, and the kind of presence that becomes woven into everyday life.

Jewel
We lost Jewel a few months ago.
Even after all those years together, it never feels like enough time.
And then there was Boio, my youngest daughter's cat.

Boio
Boio was only about three years old when we lost him, about a year ago. He had been bitten by a tick and contracted a devastating disease called Bobcat Fever.
Three years. That's all the time he had.
Unlike Cujo and Jewel, who shared so many years with our family, Boio's life was cut heartbreakingly short. His loss reminded us that we never really know how much time we'll have with the ones we love.
Whether we have three years, fourteen years, or seventeen, we always wish we had more.
And sometimes, the smallest moments become the memories we treasure most.
From heartbreak to something meaningful
Losing Cujo, Jewel, and Boio at different times in our lives brought home something I couldn't ignore.
We can't stop time. We can't bring back yesterday. And no keepsake can ever replace someone we've lost.
But perhaps we can create something that helps us feel a little closer to them.
That idea became the heart of Keepsake Beam.
I began thinking about the photographs we keep on our phones, tucked away in albums, or sitting in frames. Each one holds a story, a feeling, a moment that mattered.
What if we could take those photographs and transform them into something more? Something tangible. Something illuminated. Something that could bring a smile, even on the difficult days.
Something that reminds us not just of what we've lost, but of how fortunate we were to have loved them.
That's the feeling I wanted Keepsake Beam to capture.
More than remembering those we've lost
Although our story began with the pets who touched our lives, Keepsake Beam isn't only about loss.
It's also about celebrating life while we're living it.
A wedding photograph. A new baby. A graduation. A beloved family member. A pet who's still curled up beside you. A moment you wish you could freeze in time.
These memories deserve to be treasured, too.
That's why Keepsake Beam creates personalized keepsakes for the people, pets, and moments that make life meaningful.
Because you shouldn't have to lose something to appreciate how much it matters.
From our family to yours
We're building Keepsake Beam with the understanding that every photograph someone shares with us carries a story we may never fully know.
It might represent fourteen years with a loyal dog, seventeen years with a treasured Chihuahua, three short years with a daughter's beloved cat, or a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Whatever the story, it matters.
Cujo, Jewel, and Boio will always be part of ours.
And if something we create helps another family feel a little closer to someone they love, remember a happy moment, or find comfort in a difficult one, then Keepsake Beam is doing exactly what we hoped it would.
